What it is
The Mock EHO Inspection mode simulates a real Environmental Health Officer inspection using the actual FSA Food Hygiene Rating Scheme (FHRS) framework. It covers 8 inspection sections and 42 assessment points — exactly as a real EHO would assess your business.
How it works
Start a mock inspection
A Pro user starts a mock inspection from the Compliance tab. It can be done any time — the more regularly, the better.
Work through 8 sections
The inspection covers: Food Hygiene Practices, Temperature Control, Cross-Contamination Prevention, Cleaning, Pest Control, Structural Condition, HACCP Documentation, Staff Training.
Mark pass or fail per point
For each of the 42 assessment points, mark pass or fail with optional notes and photo evidence.
Simulated rating calculated
The mock inspection calculates a simulated 0-5 Food Hygiene Rating based on your responses.
Corrective actions auto-created
Every failed point automatically creates a corrective action with appropriate severity.
Why it matters
EHO inspections are unannounced and can happen at any time. The best way to be prepared is to conduct regular self-inspections using the same framework as the EHO. Businesses that use Mock Inspection mode regularly are consistently better prepared — and consistently score higher.
