Staff Training RecordsFood Hygiene Regulations 2013

EHO-ready training documentation

Track Level 2 and Level 3 food hygiene certificates, allergen awareness training and more. Red badge alerts when certs expire.

What it is

The Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2013 require all food handlers to be supervised and trained in food hygiene matters commensurate with their role. EHOs check training records on every inspection — they expect to see Level 2 food hygiene certificates for all food handlers and Level 3 for supervisors and managers.

How it works

1

Add staff training records

Log any training course — food hygiene (Level 1, 2 or 3), allergen awareness, HACCP, manual handling, fire safety or first aid.

2

Upload certificates

Attach a photo of the training certificate. It's stored securely in Firebase Storage.

3

Set expiry dates

Enter the certificate expiry date. Yumee tracks it automatically.

4

Receive expiry alerts

30 days before a certificate expires, the admin receives a push notification. Expired certs show a red badge.

5

Training report for EHO

Export a complete training report showing all staff training status — ready for any EHO inspection.

Why it matters

Training gaps are one of the most common EHO findings. A single staff member without a valid Level 2 certificate can reduce your Food Hygiene Rating. Yumee makes training compliance automatic — you'll never be caught with an expired certificate again.
